A few more layouts....

A few more layouts from Luke's book....

Monday, June 28, 2010

Well, here is a break from the baby album.  I was able to go to a crop over the weekend and got a few more layouts done, 6 actually.  I have a goal for myself that I want to complete one layout per week for this whole year, that should essentially give me 52 layouts completed this year.  I am short of my goal, I have 20 completed so far this year.  I am 6 off from my mid year goal and last week was the end of the 1st half of the year.  I'm still confident I can make my goal.  I need another day (soon) of all day scrapping, that seems to be when I can kick out the pages.

Anyway, here is one of my favorite pages from this weekend. This page is the first pieces of artwork my two year old brought home from her sitter (Fall 2009).  I just thought it was great and decided rather than keep the actual art (although I can't seem to part with the originals just yet...) I would photograph them and put them in her album.  Hope you like it...

Bath time

The layout below is one of my favorite's from Luke's Album. I cut the duck from New Arrival and used a black brad for the eye and then inked the duck.

Soo cute.

Father's Day from baby Luke's album

Ok. Below is another page from baby Luke's album. Since baby Luke was born after Mother's Day, I started with Father's Day instead. I did create a Mother's Day for next year which I'll post later...

Hope you like it.

Big Sister Page

Here is another page from the baby book I made for my niece.

Baby Luke is lucky enough to have an older brother and older sister.

I made a page for Big Sister and a page for Big Brother. Below is the sister page....

I forgot to add this picture to the page 2 post. This page is next to the Luke page.

Page 2

Thank you all who are following my blog. I really appreciate it. A big thanks to my friend Wende from the Cricut board who put the word out about my blog. If you have a minute, go check out her blog: http://passionatelypaper.blogspot.com/ and follow her too!

Here is another page from baby Luke's album. Here's how I did this one: I cut the "date, time, etc" from New Arrival. Most of the baby boy paper came from Deja Views - Sharon Ann Little One's Collection - Baby Boy. It has great paper and some great embellishments that all came together.
Hope you like it!

Baby Luke's 8 x 8 album

I made an album for my niece. She had a baby boy a few days ago and I pre-made a baby book for her as a baby shower gift. I went with an 8 x 8 with one picture per page. I went with an 8 x 8 because as a busy mother of 3, a one picture per page scrapbook is a great way for her to capture the first year of baby Luke's life.

The album totalled 20 pages. Here is the first page. Hope you like it!

Maggie
P.S. Forgot to add a few pieces of information. All the diecuts were cut on my Cricut Expression. The "welcome baby" comes from the cartridge Calligraphy. The onsie and the rattle were cut from New Arrival.

Ok...I know I know, I'm really really late.

Ok. I know I said I would try to post more often. I find it hard to keep up with the scrapping boards I like, Facebook, home, kids, work, etc.

I love the idea of blogging so I'm really going to start putting an effort in to blog my scrapbooking.

Gypsy giveaway

Nilda at the Gypsy Spot is giving away a new Cricut Gypsy, courtesy of Custom Crops.

They are listed as one of the blogs I follow. Check it out....

Would love to win this for my sister since she has recently discovered a love of scrapbooking and I think she would get lots of use from it as she has three kids and is usually on the run some where!

Busy....

Cricut has a new product coming out called the Gypsy. There's a lot of buzz about it and it will make it's premier on HSN on the 9/23 at 9:00 (PST). I'm looking forward to checking it out.

Cricut is also giving away their new Winter Wonderland cartridge. Here's a link to that:

I've been busy working on some coaster calendars I plan on giving to some of my sister's co-workers. I spent last Saturday working on these and had lots of fun putting them together. I still need to bind them and embellish them. I'll post pictures as soon as I can.

I'm gonna be working on some sour cream containers for Halloween for Marissa to take to school. Found some great paper I can use for this. It's my next project.

Have a great weekend!

First day of school and a birthday.

Today was Marissa's 1st day of school AND her 6th birthday. She started 1st grade today and was excited to see some of her friends from Kindergarten in her class. There was so much traffic this morning that I only got a few pictures in before her teacher sent the parents home. But it did give me an idea for a 1st grade layout.

As far as her birthday, she gets to celebrate on Friday. I saw her teacher before school started again and mentioned it was going to be her birthday. I asked if her if Friday was a better day for cupcakes or some other treat. She was thrilled that I didn't try to do make it happen on the first day of school. So Friday it is and Marissa is excited because Friday's are Fun Fridays in her class.

Have a good week.

Busy Summer

It's been a busy summer. Dave, the girls and I got to spend a fun five weeks with my niece, Arianna (or Yanna or Nanna as she's affectionately known as). Yanna even got to get some scrapbooking in for a couple of days with the heavy hitters. She manned the cricut for her Mom and got some letters cut out so her Mom could finish her Disney vacation book (which she did a great job with!!).

Hopefully, I can get back to updating this on a more regular basis. Dave bought me a Zutter Bind It All for my birthday and I have a few ideas for my first project. Come on back and take a look.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Happy New Year Everyone!!

I thought I would have more time to keep this blog up more regularly but I didn't during the holiday season.

I'm hoping to have some more free time to keep it up in the new year. I have been working on some layouts and hope to post those on here soon.

DH and the kids and I had a great Christmas. The kids got tons of gift this Christmas and we had lots of fun with our family and friends! Marissa had a great time spending two weeks off with Dad (her first real break from school!).

Thanks for looking...

Busy, busy, busy

Hey everyone,

We've been really busy aroung here these days. I am getting ready for day 3 of my 3 day crop. We have been having so much fun AND I've finished 7 layouts. In fact, I only have 8 more to go and the baby's "First Year" book will be done. I will post pictures in the next day or two.

It's hard to believe I've been so productive cause we've been having sooo much fun. The girls I scrap with are so much fun and we spend as much time laughing as we do cropping. If you have a chance to do a group crop, I hope you do it cause it can be so much FUN!!
